Co-creating Hong Kong is a touring exhibition between Hong Kong and San Francisco.

Featuring 14 unique projects by Hong Kong’s leading and emerging creative talent, the exhibition illustrates how design can foster innovation and inspire new perspectives on technology, sustainability, and community. The exhibition is a platform for cultivating exchanges between Hong Kong and San Francisco Bay Area. It poses an opportunity for the two multicultural and strategically located cities with similar dynamics to explore future co-creations in design and beyond.

The key visual distills the concept of co-creating and goes back to the basic by using fundamental elements of design as a metaphor for the notion. Dot, line and primary colours are synergised and expanded into surfaces, dimensions and spectrum of colours.

The later exhibition in Hong Kong explores the idea further by minimising to a single colour, and experiments with spacing, opacity, curves and contrast.

Co-Creating Hong Kong is co-hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco and Hong Kong Design Centre, with the support of AIGA San Francisco.
